Never tried Sim Racing before? You're exactly the kind of person we love to welcome at ARC Racing. One of the first things we hear is: "I've never done thisbefore." And honestly? That's completely fine.
The first few laps will probably be challenging. You'll miss a braking point, spin the car, or maybe even end up in the gravel. It happens to everyone. But that's also what makes Sim Racing so much fun. Every lap you complete, you'll become a little more confident. You'll brake a bit later, hit the apex a little better, and before you know it, you're trying to beat your own fastest lap.
That's where we come in. We don't just love Sim Racing—we race ourselves. We spend plenty of time behind the wheel so we know exactly what it's like to be a beginner and what it takes to improve. Our goal isn't simply to hand you the keys to a simulator. We want to guide you through the experience, almost like your own personal race engineer.To make your first experience enjoyable, we always keep things simple. We won't put you straight into a Formula 1 car on the Nürburgring. Instead, we'll usually start on a shorter circuit like the Red Bull Ring. It's one of our favourite tracks because it's easy to learn, the braking points are clear, and you can complete lots of laps in a short amount of time. That means you'll improve much faster and spend more time racing instead of trying to remember where the next corner is. Next, we'll choose the right car. We usually start with a GT4 race car. It's quick enough to get your heart racing but forgiving enough for beginners to build confidence. Once you're comfortable and feel how the simulator responds under braking and through the corners, we can move you up to a faster GT3 car or even a Formula 1.
That's when you'll really notice how different each carfeels and drives.We've also configured the simulators with beginner-friendly settings. You'll have helpful features like a racing line that changes colour to show when it's time to brake or slow down. We recommend starting with our customised Racer Mode, which gives you the perfect balance between assistance and realism. You'll experience proper Sim Racing, including realistic tyre behaviour, while still having enough support to focus on learning and, of course, beating your friends lap times.The best part? At some point, you'll stop thinking about the simulator altogether. Instead, you'll be focused on finding the perfect racing line, braking just a little later than the lap before, and squeezing every last tenth of a second out of the car. That's the moment most people realise why Sim Racing is so addictive.So if you've never tried Sim Racing before, don't let that stop you. Every experienced driver started with their very first lap. We'll help you every step ofthe way and make sure your first experience is one you'll want to repeat.
